Abstract: Companies are migrating their physical and virtual server infrastructures to public or private environments depending on their needs. Critical company data should not be hosted in public clouds as long as the conditions of the contracts or quick security policies in case of an incident are not clear. Therefore, the safest option is to store our data in our own infrastructure, even though we know that this implies having a restrictive and strong security policy. We are going to analyze, design and implement a private cloud system for companies, where we will expose the different scenarios, as well as propose a public service system that can be useful for companies in both IT and other sectors. Through virtualization, using three servers connected by fiber with two switches to provide it with high availability, it will be monitored externally, it will be secured and will have usage statistics. We will migrate a physical server to the platform to see its simple migration implementation. We will close the work, evaluating the prototype, its costs and advantages, to determine if it is a good investment in the short or long term for companies or not with respect to the cloud.
