Reken DS. Sistema de diseño reutilizable y tokenizado

Abstract

Este trabajo final de grado tiene como objetivo la creación de un Sistema de Diseño tokenizado cuya cualidad significativa es la posibilidad de que se pueda reutilizar por diferentes clientes. Está principalmente orientado a startups, pequeñas empresas y freelances con intención de desarrollar un proyecto digital. Con él pretendo ayudar a emprendedores que no pueden invertir en un gran equipo de diseño pero que necesitan un punto de partida para crear productos con buena calidad visual y coherencia pero sin parecerse al resto. Además, pretendo dar visibilidad a la importancia de usar Sistemas de Diseño y Design Tokens para agilizar el trabajo de diseñadores y desarrolladores. Parece un proyecto sencillo pero requiere un buen nivel de conocimientos entorno a las siguientes áreas, ya que el nivel de complejidad y abstracción en algunos puntos es bastante alto: diseño de experiencia de usuario, diseño de interfaces, diseño de interacción, sistemas de diseño, design tokens, gestión del diseño y Figma (más plugins). La propuesta se centra en crear un UI-Kit ya determinado, que beba de una librería de Foundations (iconos, tipografía, color y recursos) de un cliente, y que de como resultado un set de componentes con el visual del cliente y que puede comenzar a aplicarse para la creación de sus diseños digitales. Con los componentes ya creados, se han realizado dos prototipos sobre los que se han dispuesto diferentes componentes del UI-Kit para ver cómo cambia el aspecto visual si aplicamos librerías de Foundations de diferentes clientes.

This final undergraduate Project aims to create a tokenized Design System whose significant quality is the possibility of being reusable by different clients. It is mainly oriented to startups, small companies and freelancers to develop a digital project. With it, I intend to help entrepreneurs who can not invest in a good design team but need a starting point to create products with good visual quality and consistency without looking like the rest. In addition, I intend to give visibility to the importance of using Design Systems and Design Tokens to streamline the work of designers and developers and improve communication between them. It may seem a simple project but it requires a good level of knowledge around the following areas, as the level of complexity and abstraction in some points is quite high: user experience design, interface design, interaction design, design systems, design tokens, design management and Figma (plus plugins). The proposal is focused on the creation of a UI-Kit already determined that drinks from a library of Foundations (icons, typography, colour and resources) of a client, and that results in a set of components with the visual of the client and that can begin to be applied for the creation of their digital designs. Once the components are created, two prototypes will be made on which different components of the UI-Kit will be arranged to see how the visual aspect changes if we apply Foundations libraries from different clients. The agile methodology that I will use to carry out this Project is Kanban, as it fits perfectly with the way of working in this type of Project.
