Abstract: This master’s Thesis details the ability of Matlab to design, simulate and optimize antennas through the Antenna Designer and PCB Antenna Designer tools. We began by comparing the parameters of two antennas, the InvertedFcoplanar and the InvertedLcoplanar, to see which one had the best performance in reference to bandwidth. Next, the parameters of the InvertedLcoplanar antenna are optimized with the Optimization option until the highest bandwidth is obtained. We have continued designing, simulating and optimizing an L-type inverted coplanar antenna in the PCB Antenna Designer tool and comparing the results with those obtained previously and seeing that they were worse, it was decided to add a slot to various positions and check the position with the best results. bandwidth. To conclude, it can be said that Matlab is a program with infinite possibilities when it comes to designing and optimizing an antenna to obtain the best possible bandwidth.
