Abstract: The Internet of Things (IoT) has evolved from the simple connection of devices to the Internet for remote communication and data exchange, to the interconnection of everyday devices, transforming them into intelligent devices capable of being remotely monitored and controlled. This progress improves the quality of life in areas such as the home, industry and healthcare. However, this rapid evolution requires the design of specific antennas for each application to be efficient and agile. In the present work, the design and analysis of a printed meander antenna for the 2.4GHz industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) band is carried out in order to analyze the reusability of the device according to its size. In previous studies, the CST Studio Suite Learning Edition tool has been used to automate simulations using macros. In this work, in addition, the integration of CST with Matlab has been implemented to optimize the design time and data analysis. The antenna design is performed using the CST software and, thanks to the integration implemented with Matlab, the reusability study is facilitated. Such study will be performed graphically by means of a heat map representing the worst 𝑆11 value obtained for each mass plane. Additionally, a Booster antenna is designed in CST by integration with Matlab and simulated to evaluate its behavior. Finally, the results obtained from the designed antenna are compared with commercial antennas such as the Antenna Booster and the Spiral Antenna, to evaluate their performance in terms of bandwidth, reusability and overall efficiency.
