Nomad: Viatge al desconegut

Abstract

El meu treball de final de grau tracta el tema de la immigració i l'acceptació mitjançant una animació en 2D, NOMAD: Viatge al desconegut. El curt tracta del procés que viu un petit robot quan es veu obligat a abandonar el seu planeta, i com esperant un nou futur, es troba que el rebutgen des del primer moment i el marginen. La finalitat de la història és conscienciar sobre la situació que pateixen els immigrants, que s'ha de promoure el missatge de l'acceptació i col·laboració sense prejudicis. El context d'aplicació està enfocat en l'educació i la sensibilització, el projecte va dirigit principalment com a eina d'educació social per a les escoles, sobretot en l'etapa de primària. Quant als aspectes metòdics, aquest han inclòs un treball previ d'investigació en l'àmbit de l'animació tradicional en 2D i la immigració actual. A continuació, la creació dels esbossos, storyboards, els diferents guions, personatges i els diferents escenaris per a posteriorment animar-ho tot plegat. Els resultats mostren que és possible crear una història educativa sobre la immigració i els seus efectes. La història mostra com tot i el rebuig inicial, en Nomad és crucial per la seva pròpia experiència viscuda, per a salvar els habitants d'Unió de l'impacte d'un petit meteorit prop de la ciutat. Finalment i com a conclusió, vull destacar l'efectivitat de l'animació com a vehicle, per a explicar problemàtiques socials reals als més petits i així facilitar la seva comprensió sobre el tema.

This project deals with the issue of immigration and social acceptance through traditional 2D animation Nomad: Journey to the Unknown. The short film narrates the experience of a robot who is forced to leave his planet by the destructive impact of a large meteorite, in his escape he lands on a planet where he is rejected and marginalized from the first moment. The main objective of this work is to educate and sensitize the little ones, since the idea is for the short film to be viewed in the classrooms of primary school students, to make them aware of the social problem of immigration and the importance of their acceptance, cooperating and collaborating as equals. Once the animation is finished, it is shown that such a complex subject can be approached to build an educational story understandable by young children and use it as a tool in school education.
