Abstract: Health empowerment is the process by which people gain more control over their health, and digital tools have been shown to be an effective resource for fostering it. The LGBT + group is a group of the population still discriminated against, little known in terms of health but has shown a higher risk of suffering from certain diseases, so it could benefit from an empowerment eHealth intervention. The main objective of this project is to design an intervention in eHealth to promote the empowerment of the LGBT + community in health. The methodology used for data collection was bibliography search and a questionnaire aimed at the target audience. Of these, it has been identified that their main health needs are sexual health and mental health, the mechanisms through which they want to be empowered are health literacy and through health professionals and that the digital tool most suitable for the intervention is the mobile app. This app will include videos with relevant health information, a chat with health professionals and gamification elements. It must also be attractive, accessible, easy to use, reliable and ensure data protection. In conclusion, this work describes the design of a mobile application to promote the health empowerment of LGBT + people, which is the first stage of the development and implementation process.
