Title: Los sistemas electrónicos y su evolución: una investigación sobre las ventajas de los nuevos métodos de transmisión de eventos
Author: André Iglesias, Ero
Tutor: Isamélia Santos Guimarães Carvalho
Abstract: This TFG tries to approach, in the most didactic way possible, to the new methods of video signal transmission. Technological advances, as well as new communication infrastructures, offer new solutions for the transmission and broadcasting of live events. The knowledge of these new possibilities, as well as the costs and advantages, as well as the disadvantages they bring to audiovisual production are essential for professionals in this sector. In order to achieve a better understanding of the methods of transporting electromagnetic video and audio signals, a comprehensive study has been carried out on the current state of this technology and its infrastructures, as well as on the possible advances and evolution of these transmission technologies. In addition, as a support to all this information, a field study has been carried out in a regional public television medium to know its state of implementation and the opportunities it brings to the possible productions of a media. Finally, a quantitative data collection on a representation of professionals in the sector has been elaborated to help us give a solid answer to the question if these new working systems can replace the traditional systems for sending signals for video transmission.
