Title: Tendencias de los estudiantes del sector IT de la Generación Z en la elección de empleador
Author: Barquero Duque, Maria Angeles

Abstract: Attracting talent is one of the key issues for human resources departments, and companies in the IT sector are currently facing one of the greatest challenges in this regard. The gap between the supply and demand of specialists in this area is increasing given the needs of today's society. This is why companies must be well aware of their future employees, Generation Z, whose work preferences are different from those of their predecessor generations. Only in this way will they be able to adapt, attract the best talent and not lose value in an increasingly competitive labor market. The objective of this research is to find out the trends of students in the IT sector belonging to Generation Z in terms of employer choice. To this end, a survey was carried out among 193 students born between 1996 and 2003, in the third and fourth year of college degree studies, as well as Master's degrees related to information technologies. The results of this research show that a good working environment prevails over salary, that large companies are more attractive to Generation Z and that the hybrid work model is the most desirable. Likewise, members of this generation are willing to emigrate in order to get a job that meets their expectations. It should be noted that the gender of the participants has been a determining factor in the results, as women prefer to teleworking and prioritize work-life balance over a good salary.
