Abstract: | The aim of this research work is to analyze the impact of adapted futsal on the physical and psychological well-being of people with intellectual disabilities (ID). A combined qualitative and quantitative approach is used to assess physical improvement and the relationship between stress and dimensions of quality of life in n=18 participants of the Club Atletismo Garrotxa from Olot. The results show that the practice of futsal contributes significantly to reducing stress levels and improving the physical health of the participants, with a positive impact on quality of life, improving mood and general perception of well-being. In conclusion, adapted sport can be an effective resource to promote the holistic wellbeing of people with ID, contributing positively to promoting physical health, social inclusion and personal development. Summarizes the main findings of the study, highlighting the positive impact of adapted futsal on stress reduction, improved physical health and quality of life in the majority of participants with intellectual disabilities. It highlights the relevance of adapted sport as a tool to promote the well-being and social inclusion of this group. |
