De “les trompetes” a “La Banda del Pati”: La relació entre la consolidació d’una nova escena musical popular catalana i el canvi d’entorn emocional del procés independentista català

Abstract

La present investigació analitza la relació entre la música popular catalana i l’entorn emocional canviant del procés independentista català. Centrat en l'aparició i, sobretot, la consolidació, aquest passat 2023, d’una nova escena, col·loquialment coneguda com "La Banda del Pati", l'estudi busca comprendre la polèmica pèrdua de discurs reivindicatiu en la música popular catalana, fet que la diferencia significativament del panorama musical anterior. Mitjançant un estudi qualitatiu basat en entrevistes, i a partir de l’anàlisi de la percepció dels integrants i consumidors d’aquest fenomen, s'explora la possible correlació entre aquest canvi de tendència musical i el sentiment de “desencant” juvenil associat al context sociopolític “postprocés”. Tot això, amb l'objectiu de comprendre com els esdeveniments polítics, i les seves emocions relacionades, influeixen en el canvi musical, i viceversa.

The present investigation analyses the relationship between Catalan popular music and the changing emotional environment of the Catalan independence process. Focused on the emergency and, above all, the consolidation, this past 2023, of a new scene, colloquially known as "La Banda del Pati", the study seeks to understand the controversial loss of revindictive discourse in Catalan popular music, which significantly differentiates it from the previous musical scene. By means of a qualitative study based on interviews and based on the analysis of the perception of the members and consumers of this phenomenon, the possible correlation between this change in musical trend and the feeling of youth "disenchantment" associated with the socio-political "post-process" context is explored. All this with the aim of understanding how political events, and their related emotions, influence musical change, and vice versa.
