Abstract: This article proposes an overview of three central and structuring concepts of both feminist political theory and modern Western political thought: the notions of equality, freedom and rights. First, a historical overview of the situation of women is undertaken based on the economic and political transformations brought about by capitalism. In the second section, the ways in which liberalism shapes the notions that concern us are addressed in a theoretical perspective, as well as the criticisms that feminist theory makes of this approach. Finally, the ideas that feminist political theory contributes to the concepts of rights, equality and freedom are presented.
