Abstract: | The Smart Classroom Project research team develops design projects for learning spaces in educational centers of all levels. These designs are based on research evidence. The research carried out has consisted of two phases, a qualitative one, which investigates the needs, knowledge and perceptions of teachers in relation to the learning space, considering the pedagogical, environmental and digital dimension. The second phase of research consists of the co-design, implementation and evaluation of five smart classrooms in different educational centers in Catalonia-Spain. The outcomes show the improvement of learning conditions and experiences and raises the informed transion of research from traditional classrooms to more flexible, adaptable and multifunctional spaces. In addition, 10 principles are established that all learning spaces should follow. |
