Abstract

"Aspectes legals i d'explotació del programari lliure" és una assignatura fonamental per a entendre el programari lliure i per a poder explotar-lo -en la seva fase de creació, distribució, integració i ús final- de manera segura i legal. Es consideraran per tant els conceptes i sistemes de la protecció legal del programari, els drets d'autor, les patents, les marques i secrets i sobretot els mecanismes legals que són subjacents al copyleft i al "codi obert": les llicències lliures, per a aconseguir un coneixement general d'aquests temes i habilitats per a posar en pràctica aquest coneixement en contextos concrets. El mòdul es proposa brindar als participants el coneixement i les eines necessàries per a percebre els problemes que puguin sorgir en aquest contesto, anticipar i resoldre la majoria dels dubtes legals que puguin manifestar-se, així com avaluar els riscos legals i establir pel vostre compte les estratègies corresponents i prendre unes decisions bé fundades.

Aspectos legales y de explotación del software libre es una asignatura fundamental para entender el software libre y para poder explotarlo -en su fase de creación, distribución, integración y uso final- de manera segura y legal. Se considerarán por lo tanto los conceptos y sistemas de la protección legal del software -los derechos de autor, las patentes, las marcas y los secretos y, sobre todo, los mecanismos legales que subyacen en el copyleft y el código abierto: las licencias libres, para conseguir un conocimiento general de estos temas y habilidades para poner en práctica este conocimiento en contextos concretos. El módulo se propone brindar a los participantes el conocimiento y las herramientas necesarias para percatarse de los problemas que puedan surgir en este contexto, anticipar y resolver la mayoría de las dudas legales que puedan manifestarse, así como evaluar los riesgos legales y establecer por su cuenta las estrategias correspondientes y tomar unas decisiones bien fundadas.

"Legal Aspects and Exploitation of Free Software" is a fundamental course to understand free software and to be able to exploit it -in its phases of creation, distribution, integration and final use- in a secure and lawful way. Therefore, concepts and systems of legal protection of the software will be considered - author's copyright, patents, brands and secrets, and especially the legal mechanisms that are subjacent to the copyleft and "open code": the free licences, to acquire general knowledge of these subjects and skills to put this knowledge into practice in specific contexts. This module aims to offer the knowledge and necessary tools to participants to perceive the problems that can arise in this context, anticipating and resolving the majority of legal doubts that can be posed, as well as evaluating the legal risks and establishing the corresponding strategies on your own and making well-founded decisions.
