Potential role of dietary sulforaphane in neuroprotection

Abstract

The objective of the present work is to review current scientific evidence of the neuroprotective role of SF in the prevention and development of neurodegenerative disorders. The aim is to investigate if adapting the Western diet by increasing dietary SF consumption is a well-founded potential strategy to prevent and delay neuredegeneration.

El objetivo del presente trabajo es revisar la evidencia científica actual sobre el papel neuroprotector del SF en la prevención y el desarrollo de enfermedades neurodegenerativas. El objetivo es investigar si la adaptación de la dieta occidental, aumentando el consumo en la dieta de SF es una posible estrategia bien fundada para prevenir y retrasar la neuredegeneración.

L'objectiu del present treball és revisar l'evidència científica actual sobre el paper neuroprotector del SF en la prevenció i el desenvolupament de malalties neurodegeneratives. L'objectiu és investigar si l'adaptació de la dieta occidental, augmentant el consum en la dieta de SF és una possible estratègia ben fundada per prevenir i retardar la neuredegeneració.
