Abstract: This document presents the use of User-Centered Design philosophy (UCD) applied to the development of a Smartphone APP prototype to prevent diseases. This methodology can be considered as the practical implementation of Human- Computer Interaction (HCI), usability, and user experience (UX). With the use of UCD, we have worked in three different stages: in the research stage, we have explored in the mobile design fundamentals for iOS Apple devices, exploring also other similar APPs and making interviews to health professionals. In the design stage, we have worked in the features of the tool along with some use scenarios and their flowcharts, to conclude it developing wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes. In the last stage, evaluate was the most important thing to do, and some techniques have been applied as heuristics and face-to-face user tests.
