They are becoming popular as are based in natural language and have a conversational user interface which is very common in smartphone instant messaging applications. Chatbots are being explored in education, not to take on the role of teacher, but to assume repetitive and low cognitive level tasks of this role. In education, there are chatbots that can work as virtual assistants to improve productivity or just to answer FAQs.
