Abstract: Current IT jobs are very diverse and they require a lot of knowledge in various scopes and specialties, but this has not always been so. In the 80s, jobs related to computer engineering, were distributed in two specialties, computer systems and computer management. This situation has supposed more professional options, mainly worked by computer engineers. All this, has supposed changes and adaptations in the scope of academic learning of computer engineering, append this knowledge¿s and achieve the corresponding competences. In the other hand, shows an absence of a catalogue of outings that links the needs offered to the market with the specific education that exist at the moment, and shows that the jobs offered and the professional options that they are link to the scope in computer engineering. They not have a common denominator that can link them, giving multiple denominations to jobs with same knowledge required, or worse, a non-standardization between academic learning and the basic knowledge that are needed to work in those jobs. This project, proposes the creation of an observatory, as a knowledge management tool, that allows collect real appellations of professions linked to computer engineering degree, using forms and articles, to encase these offers with professional forms, which will be created, reviewed and evaluated by qualified professionals, with the final objective, obtain a consensus in the appellations assigned.
