Llonch Comadrán, Eva2025-02-122025-02-122025-01-14https://hdl.handle.net/10609/152150L’objecte d’estudi de la present investigació es basa a indagar si l’etapa de la menopausa o climateri està socialment invisibilitzada i, si aquesta invisibilització, pot derivar en un estigma social que tingui una repercussió psicoafectiva en les dones que es troben en aquesta etapa vital. La investigació es tracta d’una recerca qualitativa que intenta copsar l’experiència subjectiva de cada participant, a través d'una entrevista semiestructurada, per poder donar resposta als objectius cercats amb aquesta investigació. Els resultats demostren que hi ha una greu desinformació institucional envers la menopausa, que implica un estigma social que afecta directament a l’autoestima i autoconcepte de les dones que es troben en aquesta etapa vital, intercedint en la seva qualitat de vida i en el seu benestar en general. Les dones s’endinsen a aquesta etapa amb un sentiment de desconeixement i ignorància que els provoca un greu malestar i preocupació. Així mateix, queda demostrat que gran part d’aquest estigma social, és el resultat d’una discriminació sexista pel fet de pertànyer a una societat, amb un biaix de gènere que és conseqüència d’una forta herència d’estereotips femenins i cànons de bellesa i joventut, que exclou a les dones que estan passant per la menopausa i que se senten encasellades dins una vellesa que no els fa justícia. La finalitat d’aquesta recerca és donar visibilitat a aquesta etapa vital femenina per tal d’aconseguir una normalització social que ajudi a desestigmatitzar-la a través d’informació i prevenció per a les dones, i per la societat en general, amb la finalitat que, les dones que entrin dins aquesta etapa, ho puguin viure d’una manera més amable i no tan traumàtica.The object of study of the present research is based on investigating whether the menopause or climacteric stage is socially invisible and, if this invisibilization, can lead to a social stigma that has a psycho-affective impact on women who are in this vital stage. Menopause or climacteric period is a female life stage that can last about 25 years and that, due to hormonal imbalances, involves physical, emotional and psychic changes in the women who go through it. The research is a qualitative research that uses as an instrument a semi-structured interview, with closed sociodemographic questions, and open questions that try to capture the subjective experience of each participant to be able to respond to the objectives sought with this research. The results show that there is a serious institutional misinformation towards menopause, which implies a social stigma that directly affects the self-esteem and selfconcept of wome who are in this vital stage, interceding in their quality of life and in their general well-being. Women enter this stage with a feeling of ignorance that causes them serious discomfort and concern. Likewise, it is shown that much of this social stigma is the result of sexist discrimination due to the fact of belonging to a society, with a gender bias that is the result of a strong inheritance of female stereotypes and canons of beauty and youth, which excludes women who are going through menopause and who feel bound in an old age that does not do them justice.
