Title: Diseño tecnopedagógico de los entornos abiertos o MOOCs

Abstract: The internet since its inception allowed information to be exchanged at anytime, anywhere. In the present there is such an amount of information that somehow allows to obtain a learning of what is sought and found. But this new knowledge acquired is informal, and in need of a certificate, and there is no guarantee of it. This boom of information born by the use of the internet and the validation of what has been learned has allowed the expansion of MOOCs. MOOCs from their beginnings to the present have been massifying on a large scale through the web through technological platforms, among their characteristics are being open, participatory, and distributed, characteristics that they share with open educational resources. Given this, this essay aims to give an approach to the subject and generate a basic knowledge on the characteristics, development, and inputs required for its creation and the possible actors involved in this process. The work carried out is framed in the Ecuadorian university context, taking into account what the Ecuadorian constitution promotes, that education is a right for all, and on the other hand from the regulation of academic regime that promotes self-learning. Therefore, developing MOOCs is an opportunity to provide education continuously and at any time. That is why it is important to provide some recommendations and criteria to develop a MOOC to provide support and homogenize processes in private institutions or university sector.
