Title: Assessorament curricular i orientació als docents sobre estratègies en la resolució de problemes matemàtics

Abstract: An internal assessment of the area of Mathematics is currently underway at the school I work in, focusing on problem solving. During the month of January, a number of El Quintet exercises were given to high school students for resolution; the teachers assessed where errors had been committed, whether they were due to comprehension, to the mechanics of the operations or to an incorrect answer, and the results obtained showed that the errors occurred in various parts of the problem. This led teachers to think that the difficulties in students' progress could be found in the teaching process itself, which was incomplete, or included aspects that were not sufficiently worked on. Consequently, the interest of teachers was to know: where and why were errors committed, and how could work be improved.
