Abstract: Labour intermediation, understood as simply putting employers in contact with prospective employees, has evolved from a hard monopolistic regime into a wide public-private collaboration that may involve any private employment agency, both profit-seeking and non-profit. Its regulations aim to guarantee workers¿ protection by setting out a series of principle based on equality, non-discrimination, data protection and service bonuses. The effect of new technologies on the labour market is leading to the coexistence of traditional employment services and groups of digital intermediaries (job sites, mobile applications, social and professional networks, etc.) which are developing outside of the regulatory framework. This study will analyse the activities of these digital intermediaries and focuses in particular on how they charge jobseekers for their services and if that complies with the national and international regulations governing labour intermediation.
