Title: Desarrollo de una aplicación Android para festivales
Author: Fernández Iglesias, Janire
Tutor: Ceballos Villach, Jordi
Abstract: This document presents the development of an Android application for festivals based on the use of the philosophy of User Centered Design (UCD), which can be considered as the practical application of the discipline of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), usability and user experience (UX). There are three phases in the application of UCD: the research phase which is based on the collection of information to define the product. For this, similar applications are analyzed to know their strengths, characteristics, and discover the design trends that exist. In the design phase, use scenarios and flowcharts are defined to describe how a user will interact with the application and prototypes will be made. And finally, in the evaluation phase, the user test method is applied in order to find possible errors and improvements in the design made. Then the next step is the technical design phase where the use cases and architecture design are defined. Once this is done, the implementation takes place where the design is transformed into a product which the different functionalities are implemented to get the Android application. In this phase all the tools and decisions made are discussed. It can be concluded that thanks to the use of the UCD philosophy, it has been possible to obtain a high quality product that meets the user's needs.
