Abstract: | This essay presents an innovative strategy, the educational Escape Rooms, as an alternative to traditional teaching-learning systems. It is intended to expand the knowledge about this recent gamification strategy, and analyze the relationship that exists with academic performance and motivation. Therefore, the concept of gamification, its elements and pedagogical bases will be analyzed, as well as what an educational Escape Room consists of, the elements for its design, benefits and a theoretical guide for its design will be shown. |
