Abstract: Families are immersed in a process of nutritional transition, as a result of lifestyle changes, lack of time, and globalization of food, with substitution of traditional dishes for ultra-processed foods, fast food and sugary drinks, among others. This process has evolved rapidly in recent years. Obesity rates in the Spanish child population are alarming, with a clear departure from the Mediterranean diet patterns, despite being considered one of the healthiest eating patterns in the world. This starting point forces us to take initiatives to reverse the situation. Nutrition education programs are an effective tool to achieve this goal. With the school garden as the backbone, this nutritional intervention program has been designed for schoolchildren in the Primary stage, with the intention of involving students and families, in order to bring them closer in a practical way to the foundations of a healthy nutrition.
