Abstract: The main goal of this study is the economic and financial analysis of the corporative group Solaria after the great recession, from 2014 to 2018. In fact, this study consists of an analysis of Solaria's financial statements, an analysis of the solar photovoltaic energy sector and another analysis of the competition, all of them in order to answer the following four key questions: - What is the financial and patrimonial status of Solaria at the end of 2018? - How has been the financial evolution that Solaria has been through from 2014 to 2018? - What are the future expectations for Solaria? What could the shareholders expect from it?- Has a general growth taken place within the solar photovoltaic sector in Spain during this period of time? Solaria has suffered a restructuration process which has forced the group to swap the main activity, from producing solar photovoltaic (PV) modules to producing and operating solar PV energy. As a consequence of this change, the group has managed to improve its results over the recent years; the revenue has increased on an ongoing basis, Solaria has a strong financial health and it possesses enough cash to grow and expand the next years. Solaria looks for reducing its costs' structure and it also seeks to increase the revenue through new projects (Solaria, 2019a). Globally, the production of solar PV energy has done nothing but grow, especially in China and other powerful countries around the world. However, this growth has been frozen in Spain from 2014 to 2018. As a matter of fact, the increase of the installed capacity has been tiny due to some factors such as the big recession and the consequent renewable energy's shortening in subventions and other grants by the local government (Bautista, 2017). Currently, thanks to some empowerment measures led by the European and local regulators, the market of the solar PV energy sees an uptrend in investment and new projects in Spain.
