Abstract: With the rise of face-to-face escape rooms, these have achieved a popularity that video games could not reach when this genre was at its peak (2004-2010), which may become an opportunity for them to recover, at least, some of their splendor. The purpose of this work is to make a graphic adventure video game of the scape room subgenre, with horror and mystery features, in which the players can explore their environment and solve the puzzles needed to get out of there and complete the game. Through a Gantt chart and individual-scale planning, we have been able to make a short video game that makes sense by itself and achieves the main goals. During its development, we have learned in depth how the Unity platform works, and how to implement a game of this genre. We have also learned that the most important thing is to create a good user experience, over and above the graphic quality or sophisticated developments, without forgetting their importance. Finally, through user tests and own experience, we have detected possible lines of improvement to be implemented in the future and create a longer game, with more elements, that can be published or marketed through platforms such as Steam or Epic Games Store.
