Abstract: | The use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in our society has become an essential element and due to the increase of its use in our lives and the emergence of web browsing, cookies arise. In this Master's Thesis (TFM) we propose to carry out an in-depth study of the current European and Spanish legislation applicable in the web field, with the aim of ensuring regulatory compliance in the use of cookies and collection of personal information on web pages. In the development of the project, an agile methodology called Kanban has been used to manage and analyze diferent web pages through the use of automated tools such as EU-EDPS and the application of the regulations studied, in order to check the use of cookies and the information collected. On the other hand, the knowledge learned has been applied in my personal web page using web programming languages allowing to correctly inform the user and obtain their consent for the use of cookies or personal data. In conclusion, the project has fulfilled the defined objectives proving that users are provided with a legal protection that allows them to maintain their privacy on the Internet. However, there're sites that don't adapt correctly to the regulations and, in addition to being liable to penalties, they damage their image and the right to privacy of their users. |
