Abstract: Blood pressure is one of the most important monitoring parameters in clinical medicine. High blood pressure (BP) or hypertension causes cardiovascular disease, which is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in developed countries. Therefore, reducing cardiovascular risk in people with hypertension is vital to reduce blood pressure, preventing the development of cardiovascular diseases. For years, the cuff sphygmomanometer and invasive arterial line have been the gold standards for BP testing by healthcare professionals. The widespread use of oscillometry-based wrist or arm BP cuff devices has made home BP assessment more accessible. However, the discomfort of the cuff to inflate for the patient, the variability of blood pressure with this method, the discontinuous nature, the relative inaccuracy with movement make these devices unsuitable for the next generation healthcare infrastructure. A non-intrusive measurement will help control blood pressure, since it will facilitate the measurement for the patient, it will not be uncomfortable, it can be measured at any time, it will have control of the data and it will be very important for the detection of hypertension. The work consists of studying the models that are being analyzed in recent years to perform non-intrusive measurements of blood pressure. It consists of comparing the different methods that are proposed, analyzing the problems and the solutions proposed for reliable measurements. One of the main models is Pulse Wave Velocity (PWV), directly related to blood pressure, which can be measured by calculating pulse transit time (PTT) or pulse arrival time (PAT) Non-intrusives techniques to measure PTT / PAT are as follows: -Photoplethysmography (PPG) that consists of the emission of light in a tissue and the measurement of the light reflected or transmitted by it. The PPG sensor allows to obtain pulse curves that are analogous to those obtained by the intrusive method of blood pressure measurement. -Electrocardiogram, P wave, QRS complex and T wave. -Bioimpedance, electrical impedance technique that detects changes in blood volume. -Microwave Methods for estimating blood pressure are as follows: -Mathematical algorithms -Machine Learning algorithms -Deep learning algorithms In the work, a comparative analysis of non-intrusive methods is carried out from various points of view (technology, estimation methods, precision, devices). Finally, a proposal is made for a system for the non-intrusive measurement of blood pressure, taking into account portability, precision, calculation capacity, connectivity and user comfort.
