Author: Cepas Carmona, Jose

Abstract: Technological evolution has allowed new forms of communication in companies internally between employees and with customers, suppliers and other figures. However, these new forms of communication do not replace telephony in relation to the direct, immediate and bidirectional communication that it provides. Throughout its history, telephony has evolved, adapting to the requirements of our demands, and is currently at a crucial point in Spain. The closure of the copper central carried out by Telefónica, the country's leading operator, has a significant impact on the companies because it forces them to adapt or replace their current traditional telephone switchboards with analog / digital links to communicate with the public telephone network at via IP protocol. Software-based VoIP communications systems are a good alternative to this change as they have the necessary functionalities to compete with propietary solutions from recognized manufacturers, but offering the advantage of a lower economic impact in their implementation. In this sense, after a first theoretical part to contextualize the lines of work, the installation of a voice solution of these characteristics will be carried out in a fictitious company that will be used as an example. Finally, the basic and advanced functionalities configurations will be made to conclude with the startup process and go into production of the System.
