Title: La gamificación en el aula china de ELE: favorecer el desarrollo de las competencias sociopragmáticas

Abstract: Nowadays, the educational Chinese context in terms of ELE is still reproducing traditional and mechanical methodologies, which difficulties the individual efforts for introducing other strategies and tools that mobilize the student body and avoid that language is learnt as a combination of grammatical norms and preestablished vocabulary. Within these students, we can identify a certain sociopragmatic failure, justified for some stereotyped arguments on the sociocultural context that surround and limit them. The current work, through the review and analysis of the previous literature, pretends to question this deterministic view and stand up for the shaping paper that an innovative methodology can take over those students, basing on gamification as the pedagogical tendency previously explored in the field of ELE, motivating the growth of positive attitudes towards learning and reducing those possible sociocultural barriers that affect the global development of a foreign language. We get to the conclusion that the educational context in which the student body is located, determines their learning styles, although the innovative methodologies can shape the roles that are taken in the classroom in favor of a higher educational quality. Thus, this inquiry labor pretends to open spaces for reflection and debate within the field of ELE teaching in Chinese educational contexts, refuting with grounds the stereotypes associated to that student profile and analyzing in which ways the gamification can materialize to satisfy the detected sociopragmatic failure.
