Abstract: This paper presents the case of a 12-year-old boy with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This disorder is characterized by deficits in communication and social interaction, as well as restrictive and repetitive patterns of behavior, interests or activities. The symptoms present in the early stages of development and are very heterogeneous. The case presented is a fictitious patient referred to the neuropsychology service. The evaluation evidences a low intellectual performance and shows cognitive alterations, especially in attention, language and executive functions, as well as emotional and behavioral alterations. Based on these results, the proposed neuropsychological intervention consists of 2 weekly sessions of 1 hour during 6 months. The overall objective is to improve the affected cognitive functions and emotional and behavioral symptoms, thus reducing the impact on the daily life of the patient and his family. During the intervention, sessions will include cognitive stimulation, implementation of compensatory strategies, family psychoeducation and emotional support, and school coordination and guidance. It is expected that the child will acquire greater autonomy and will be able to function adequately in daily life in all environments.
