Title: Búsqueda de moléculas pequeñas frente Anexina II en cáncer de mama triple negativo

Abstract: Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is the most aggressive subtype and it does not respond to antihormonal therapies or anti-HER2 treatments. This is due to the total absence of hormonal receptors. Several studies have shown the existence of an overexpression of Annexin II (AnxA2), which together with the p11 protein (S100A10), is related to processes of invasion and metastasis in this type of breast cancer. In addition, the silencing of the AnxA2 gene has shown that the ability to migrate and invasion, decrease sharply in the presence or absence of EGF when there is no expression of AnxA2. Thus, it has been proposed in this work to find small molecules that can block the activity of Annexin II. For this, a structure-based virtual screening and the subsequent evaluation of the possible candidates will be carried out to characterize their ADME and toxicity values.
