Abstract: The educational use of Social networks Sites (SNS) is generating unforeseen changes in the ways of teaching, learning and research, which enrich and modify the ways of dealing with teaching and research. The incursion of the tools 2.0 most used by adolescents in their teaching and learning processes, causes them to change teaching practice and face new challenges in relation to their effects on various variables relevant to the pedagogical process of students: academic performance, communication, collaborative work, intrinsic motivation, participation, among others. This paper presents, for further discussion, a review of the scientific literature produced internationally on the educational use of SNS by Secondary students.
