Title: El cine como un medio para la nostalgia a través de la cultura pop: los casos de Ready player one y Stranger things
Author: Osorio Osorio, Alejandra
Tutor: Gonzàlez Balletbò, Isaac
Abstract: In the work we review how pop culture productions use nostalgia through the use of references to culture and past pop artifacts. Two productions are taken thanks to the high impact they have had in the last two years and because they manage to represent to a large extent the retro wave that has been in vogue for some time, in addition, being immersed in two media of mass and popular entertainment such as what are the cinema and streaming platforms, they also represent everything that has influence over millions of people, and they become products that transmit not only a library of references to the past that excites, but ideologies, collective desires, fantasies and reflections that show in a certain way the reality of our current society.
