Author: Serrano Santa Bárbara, Fabio

Abstract: This work addresses the importance of addressing the great problem of physical inactivity of Spanish adolescents through the promotion of active methodologies that increase, as far as possible, the motor commitment time of adolescent students. The objective should be to use the maximum possible time of the class to perform vigorous physical activity, trying to reduce the time of explanations where the student is in a passive attitude. The purpose has been to demonstrate that the flipped classroom methodology can be an effective solution to counteract to a certain extent the lack of physical activity in extracurricular hours of Spanish adolescents, as well as to value a series of positive contributions that this model offers. In this sense, it has been demonstrated in addition to an increase in the time of motor commitment or use of the time of practice of vigorous physical activity, a greater use of learning and knowledge technologies and, with it, the digital competence. In turn, for the correct implementation of this methodology, we can highlight a series of strategies such as its development through web 2.0, which allows an efficient relationship between the teacher, the students and the content, serving as a link between the contents seen in class and work outside of it.
