Title: La Tortosa del segle XVI : Una ciutat del Renaixement
Author: Martínez Rodríguez, Jordi
Tutor: Sancho Planas, Marta
Abstract: The city of Tortosa became one of the most thriving cities in Catalonia in the 16th century, its geostrategic situation made it a reference point for the Crown of Aragon, thanks to the good navigability of the river Ebro. Thanks to its particular mouth, which offered three natural ports, these would be used in the conquest of the Mediterranean and, later, as an influx of commerce with the main Italian ports.
