Title: Pensar el fin. Del rechazo del trabajo al horizonte post-trabajo
Author: Hermoso de Mendoza, Víctor
Tutor: Mayos, Gonçal
Abstract: The inaction of the left in the face of the hegemony of neoliberalism and impotence in the face of the failure of the social movements of 2011 causes the emergence of contemporary acceleration, a stream of emancipatory thinking that bets on a new modernity and emphasizes the need to appropriate technological development trends to direct them towards social ends. In this investigation we seek to evaluate the accelerationist proposal in relation to other thought traditions that had already thought about emancipation: if the (post) operaism did it under the slogan of "work rejection", accelerationism will now be responsible for thinking of a post-work society through automation. The objective is to demonstrate how the accelerationist proposal goes beyond the post-work framework itself and broadens the utopian horizon by adopting a promise that allows it to go beyond the essentialism that had characterized humanist Marxism and that had prevented thinking of technology as a means of emancipation.
