Abstract: The aim of this Final Degree Project consists of the development and implementation of the molecular viewing tool opengl: HVM. This application permits the viewing and inspection of molecules and is highly useful in such fields as chemistry, pharmacy, teaching, etc., admitting molecule definitions through an input file (a simplified variation of the xmol XYZ format), building the model of this and enhancing browsing around it, as well as the selection and identification of its elements and the calculation of the distance and torsion angles between them. It also permits the definition of an axis on which to generate a rotation of the model and to record an output sequence.
