Title: Redes en Twitter y la defensa de la mujer peruana (ante el acoso y el feminicidio)

Abstract: In recent years, Peru has seen a significant increase in the rate of cases of violence against women and an increasing number of femicides. The objective of this Final Master's Project is to identify the different actors (Peruvian government agencies, private collectives, feminist movements, personalities, etc.) and the communities that make up, while analyzing that they are talking about this issue in social networks, specifically, on Twitter. The methodology used contemplates: 1) The collection of tweets (using tags / hashtags and keywords circumscribed to the Peruvian territory), published between March 4th and 12th, being March 8th 2019, the central date on which the international day of the woman. 2) The application of Natural Language Processing techniques, to automatically analyze all messages, as well as the use of centrality metrics during network analysis, to identify the most relevant profiles. 3) The creation of the global network of interactions in Peru on this subject, and the analysis of the content of the retweets generated by the most relevant profiles. Finally, the result of this work has allowed us to identify the main issues that people in the network discuss about the defense of women's rights and that they should have primary attention from the authorities.
