Abstract: Nowadays, the fast development of wireless communications has caused that, in the world in which we live, everything is practically connected. Within this type of communications, the antennas play a fundamental role. These antennas can be classified into several groups of their topology as patch antennas or dipole antennas. The main objective of this Thesis (TFG) is to propose a new RFID dipole antenna design in the UHF band on a flexible paper substrate. To do this, it deeply analyzes the state of the art of the RFID antennas, studies the main parameters of an antenna, as well as the substrate, simulates different antennas and thus studying their performance. Then, a design of a dipole antenna is performed on a paper substrate. Finally, this antenna is optimized for a commercial chip. As a result, an optimized design of an RFID antenna is obtained for the UHF frequency range of the European region thus achieving all the proposed objectives. This report concludes with a brief thought on the objectives achieved and the future lines of work.
