Abstract: The body of work seeks to penetrate from anthropology, but with the help of other disciplines, in the devotion of San Esteban del Valle (Avila) to San Pedro Bautista, a Franciscan from the same village natural who was martyred in Japan in the late s. XVI. Or put another way, which is intended to show the role that San Pedro Bautista holds in the way the Catholic religion has been configured in this town of Avila.
