Author: Martinez Castaño, Vanessa
Tutor: Perez Muñoz, Cristina
Abstract: This Final Degree Project looks into and puts forward the bases that must be followed to design an offer of products destined to female solo travellers. The analysis of the real tourism market conception and the literature review in the field will help to describe the characteristics of the sector and its participants. The research focuses on understanding the female solo travel, both from the exploratory point of view and the descriptive and conclusive. The interviews aimed at different female solo travellers are a fundamental part of the paper, as the surveys addressed to the segment of the research provide a more realistic view of the characteristics of the female solo travellers. To this extent, based on the results obtained, it is concluded that there are significant differences between the type of traveller and their age related to their profile, motivations and assessment of the current offer. Therefore, recommendations are presented and addressed to the companies of the sector and organizations, with the request of designing an offer that allows an optimal development of the female solo travellers in all areas.
