Abstract: In today's fleeting and changing society, in which time has become a precious asset, we are increasingly less tolerant of waiting times when receiving a product or service. There are many sectors in which the duration of these waiting times can make the difference between prospering or disappearing, for this reason the purpose of this project is to design a system that groups the activity of distribution companies with service companies, in order to minimize the waiting times suffered by the client. Thus, applying a phased development methodology to the project under a 'Bottom-up' approach, the design of a global system consisting of an inventory digitization subsystem and a distribution automation subsystem will be proposed. The developed solution includes the design of a code reading system for digitize product stocks in a database, and two wireless communication networks that allow; the first, the transmission of the information from the reader to the database and the second, the sharing of stock data and purchase requests with distribution centres quickly and safely. For this, WLAN and WWAN networks will be used in the design. Finally, an artificial intelligence will be integrated into the system to optimize the automation of the purchasing and logistics operations of the distribution company.
