Abstract: Nowadays, the electronic printing of microwave circuits on flexible substrates, using technics like inject printing, is an accessible alternative and at a highly competitive cost. In this context, the sensor antennas for detection of variables captures the attention of the international scientific community. This keen interest is due to the fact that while using the same sensor as wireless transmitter, it is possible to simplify the complexity of the involved circuits. In the first stage of this Final Degree Project, a detailed study of the state of the art is carried out, followed by descriptions of the main design parameters of these sensor antennas on flexible substrates. The practical part of this project starts with simulations of selected examples exposed in the state of the art. After this training phase, we will dwell on the layout of the first design of the antenna sensor for detection of human body temperature. Lastly, this design will be optimized to improve its performance and responsiveness. In the final reckoning, we obtain a microstrip patch sensor antenna which operates at frequency of 38 GHz. This design shows satisfactory results in terms of performance and responsiveness, thus it can/with regards to be considered as an adequate option for 5G detection temperature applications. The project report closes with the conclusions and future work lines.
