Abstract: | Over the last decade we have seen an exponential increase in the number of IoT devices that have been sold worldwide, from virtual assistants, smart appliances, cars, to complex industrial systems, this has brought a substantial increase in malware, since Malpractice by manufacturers and lack of monitoring by end users have made these devices a growing focus of infection for botnets, thus creating a very lucrative business that allows devices to be recruited without any consent, in order to Undertake distributed denial-of-service attacks or grant gigantic computing power by gathering thousands of these cryptocurrency mining devices illegally. It is here that the idea of implementing an antivirus, a hardening process and a whole set of measures that allow to control and protect these devices from the dangers of the internet and that today are already in our homes is born. |
