Abstract: A transmission line is a system destinated to guide or lead electromagnetic energy. The transmission lines are essential in any telecommunications systems, due transport the electromagnetic energy between to parts of the system. In this work we will focus on the microstrip transmission lines, specifically in the three-line-microstrip transmission lines. The three-line-microstrip lines are formed by three strips that they are situated in parallel among them and on top of a dielectric with ground plane in the lower layer. This transmission lines named multimodal is able to transmit three propagation electromagnetics waves types (modes) at the same time: OO, EE, OE. The final goal of this work will be the circuit model validation equivalent to a transition, specifically an impedance parallel to the second and third strip of the transmission line has been inserted using a multimodal analysis. The validation will be performed by comparing the circuit simulation results of the equivalent circuit model obtained theoretically with the results obtain in the electromagnetic simulation of our circuit.
