Title: Migración de empresa ficticia a entorno GNU/LINUX
Author: Rodríguez Sánchez, Antonio
Tutor: López Sánchez-Montañés, Joaquín
Abstract: This work shows as a "simulation" a process of technological migration, in which there is a fictitious company that needs to renew its ICT equipment with a very tight budget. In it, it is determined as the most reasonable option to migrate the entire technological infrastructure to a GNU / Linux environment, a selection of different distributions of operating systems that support the system's base platform, as well as a selection of different desktop systems to adapt user units to this new scenario. As part of the simulation, the installation and configuration of the services necessary for the operation of the company will be shown with a practical approach. This migration will have a planning that will include a training process, more than necessary for a migration of these characteristics, in which the fear of change is very likely to appear. It will indicate times for the implementation of each of the aforementioned services. The result is a migration guide that aims to "remove fear" from many companies, using open source. I attest that in many companies and public bodies this fear is being eliminated, and they have in their data processing centers numerous services supported by open source systems. There are already many companies that provide official support at very tight prices, so that they can be supported in the same way as a platform with proprietary software.
