Title: Efecte de KetoCrIF (combinació de la restricció calòrica, el dejuni intermitent i la dieta cetogènica) com a tractament coadjuvant de pacients amb càncer

Abstract: In recent years nutrition has been getting significantly more attention from society. In parallel myths and misinformation surrounding nutrition are arising. Recently, different types of food regimens to address different objectives have been developed and have become more popular. Oncological diseases are very complex, and it is expected that many factors play a key role in these diseases. Science is now starting to investigate the potential impact of certain diets in oncological treatment. To improve quality of life, health and oncological treatment in patients with an adjuvant nutritional therapy to gold standard treatment combining ketogenic diet, caloric restriction and intermittent fasting. This is an interventional study, prospective, with no randomization nor blinding, multicentric and with a control arm in patients with recent cancer diagnosis. Nutrition and nourishment are part of our lives and have a key impact in our lives and can have effects on our health. In certain pathologies, following adequate nutrition regimens can improve the quality of life and the impact of the pathology. Regardless of the results of this specific intervention, the incorporation of the Dietician-Nutritionist might improve quality of life of oncological patients and avoid nutritional deficiencies, which is very common in this population.
