Abstract: The world and Uruguayan population are both going through an aging process, as well as experiencing an increase in the prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus and Arterial Hypertension. Among others advantages, the use of telemetry for taking care of this population is promising for improving blood pressure and glycated hemoglobin levels. The main goal of this document is to address a bibliographic review of the world¿s experience on telemonitoring diabetic and hypertensive symptoms from the patient's home in order to analyze their results. A literature review was carried out in PubMed, Cochrane, SCOPUS, CINHAL and JMIR databases and in Google Scholar between the months of April and May 2020. The CASPe system was applied for critical reading and GRADE was used for classifying the evidence and setting the strength of the recommendation. Twelve articles that met the established criteria were examined. Most of the articles found statistically significant improvements in blood pressure and glycated hemoglobin levels. In some of the articles reviewed, there were also found elements for allowing a better patient's acceptance of the telemonitoring and even a reduction in costs. The bibliography examined allowed us to assess the clinical improvement of the participating patients in the trials, due to a decrease in blood pressure and an improvement in the Glycated Hemoglobin values. This data should continue to be expanded and updated with further studies.
