Title: Grup socioterapèutic d'autocura per a cuidadors principals ingressats amb malaltia oncologica avançada al servei d'oncologia de l'Hospital Clinic de Barcelona

Abstract: According to the World Health Organization, cancer is the second cause of death today. The diagnosis of an oncological disease is socially recognized for having a major impact on the patient, as well as on the primary caregiver. The primary caregivers, faced with the complexity of the disease, face many medical responsibilities, decision ¿ making, personal care, which can cause physical, psychological, social, labor and economic problems. Objectives: provide, through a sociotherapeutic group, weekly ventilation space for the primary caregivers of patients with advanced oncological disease admitted to the oncology service to work on selfcare techniques, skills and strategies, thereby enhancing their individual capacities and reducing the emotional, physical and psychological overburden resulting from caring for a person with advanced oncological disease Method: Joint methodology project subjects shall be the primary caregivers of patients with advanced disease diagnosis admitted to the oncology service. The group will be composed of 12 participants, with the possibility that two additional participants may join the first two sessions. A total of 10 meetings, lasting 1.30 h, twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The contents of the group shall be: standards of self-care, mindfulness, emotional ventilation, sociolabor information and advice and economic benefits, document of anticipated wills, information on resources, services and entities, resilience, music therapy and therapy. Results, participation in a socio-therapeutic group according to the literature used is satisfactory in order to reduce overburdening and to promote the emotional, physical, social and psychological well-being of the primary caregivers.
